laid back but put together look, not overly accessorized. Other ppl blur the
lines on me. It feels like a diversion when they use other forms of expression
like fashion to distract me from the waning of their initial art form. Who’s
your stylist? Ppl try so hard to be genuine that they end up blending in even
more. These visuals distract me, so I always listen to the music/cypher before
watching it. I heard a sample from this one artist & I was like “not so
bad” but when I saw the video part of me died *unrelated to this cypher but I
was making my little point...y'all get the gist.
A good
painting doesn’t need a fancy frame. It actually doesn’t need a frame at all. I
have seen bad art in really good frames sell very well though, it doesn't mean
that it is good art. It means that it's a well packaged product, good marketing
in other words. I guess it boils down to self-awareness & the image that
one is trying to portray. Not saying that it's all bad but there are a lot of
bad examples of GOOD marketing! In other words, if a music video makes me say “really?!”, then the answer is usually “no”.

Reading mtv.com (that name change typo pictured below) helped me realize what I miss about social media the most & that is staying up on my music. Since I've been off for a month ppl have been emailing me links which means that I'm usually a day or so behind, etc. SM allows me to stay up to date with ppl & up on my interests. Contrary to popular belief I miss the news more than the attention.
